"~Sfumato/Static.weeds" etching/aquatint

Sfumato is a term used for describing northern Renaissance painting where the art of atmospheric perspective began. Literally, sfumato means in Italian "smoke," or nuances. I believe the static of today's information world is like smoke that one must sift through to achieve meaningful interpretations. Unfortunately, "information static," like weeds, grows exponentially.
